Synopsis of The Little Mermaid

Once upon a time in the depths of the ocean, there lived a sweet young mermaid with her sister and her mother the queen of the sea. The little mermaid loved hearing stories of the world above and longed to see it for herself. At long last, she has come of age to make her first journey to the surface.Surrounded by family and friends, the little mermaid celebrates her birthday and embarks on her great adventure.
At the surface, the little mermaid finds a large ship where she sees a human for the first time—a handsome prince whom she adores at once. Suddenly, a violent storm erupts, capsizing the ship and throwing the prince into the sea. Fighting against the powerful waves, the little mermaid rescues the prince, bringing him safely to shore.
The little mermaid sings to the prince as she cares for him. The prince regains consciousness and is enchanted by his rescuer's beauty and kindness, but before long falls unconscious again.
